The OpticsMED VC-008 is a 5 m Snellen near-vision chart — the in-between size that fits the most common exam-room geometry, where 6 m is too long and 3 m underuses the room. The 5 m calibration keeps the optotype sizes within the standardised Snellen lookup table so practitioners can read the result against the printed scale without conversion math.
