Clinical overview

Product overview

The OpticsMED 20 D / 90 D Aspherical Retina lens is the indirect-fundoscopy lens that pairs with a slit lamp for examination of the optic disc, macula and posterior pole. The 90 D is the workhorse choice for slit-lamp biomicroscopy (wider field, lower magnification); the 20 D is the partner for indirect ophthalmoscopy in the same clinic. The aspheric surface eliminates the off-axis aberration that older spherical fundus lenses introduce at the disc margin.

Key features

  • Aspherical front surface β€” clean image to the disc margin
  • 20 D variant for indirect ophthalmoscopy (wider field, head-mounted scope)
  • 90 D variant for slit-lamp biomicroscopy (precision posterior-pole exam)
  • Anti-reflective coating reduces stray-light artefact
  • Compatible with any condensing slit lamp design
