Clinical overview
Product overview
The OpticsMED MD-480A is a fully microprocessor-controlled phacoemulsification console that integrates the four tools a cataract surgeon reaches for during a routine case: 40 kHz ultrasonic phaco emulsification, peristaltic-pump irrigation/aspiration, vitrectomy and bipolar cautery. The result is a single console at the foot of the surgical bed — no separate vitrector trolley to wheel in, no second cautery unit.
Key features
- Microprocessor control of all parameters
- 40 kHz ultrasonic emulsification with continuous, pulse, linear and burst modes

- Built-in 10 W bipolar cautery
- 10-preset parameter storage for different surgeon preferences
