PM-9S monocular-capable pupil meter with auto-power-off memory and direct PD adjustment lever — measures left/right PD independently for asymmetric patient cases.
Clinical overview
The OpticsMED PM-9S is the monocular-capable variant of the pupil-meter family — same precision optical structure as the PM-9AT but with explicit monocular measurement support for left/right eye independently. The right pick for clinics handling asymmetric PD patients (post-orbital trauma, congenital facial asymmetry) where binocular PD measurement isn't enough.
| Range | Left or right pupillary distance |
|---|---|
| Graduations | ≤ 0.5 mm |
| Focusing | 30 cm – ∞ |
| Voltage | 4.5 V DC (2 × type-03 batteries) |
| Weight | 0.9 kg |
| Volume | 280 × 200 × 100 mm |
Asymmetric-PD specialist practices, post-orbital-trauma rehabilitation services and congenital facial-asymmetry clinics where the binocular PD reading isn't enough and monocular measurement is the inspection / measurement standard.
