Ordered this to replace an ageing unit and so far it's held up well to consistent daily use. It feels solid and properly engineered. Does precisely what we needed.

SLM-2000 single-magnification slit lamp (10×) — the lightest, simplest biomicroscope in the OpticsMED line for screening rooms and budget-constrained installs.
Clinical overview
The OpticsMED SLM-2000 is the lightest, simplest slit lamp in the line — a single 10× magnification, four light-spot diameters and three filters at an 11 kg net weight. The single-magnification design is enough for routine anterior-segment screening where the clinician's eye is the limiting factor, not the magnification range.
| Magnification | 10× |
|---|---|
| Field of view | 18 mm |
| Slit width | 0 – 10 mm |
| Power | 110V/220V, 50/60 Hz, 68 VA |
| Net weight | 11 kg |
| Dimensions | 455 × 385 × 630 mm |
Screening rooms, community-health programmes and budget-constrained installs (school-clinic outreach, NGO programmes) that need a working slit lamp at the lowest viable spend. Also fits secondary equipment for travelling-clinic vans where weight matters.
