Clinical overview
Product overview
The OpticsMED SW-500 is a probe-rebound tonometer that measures intraocular pressure without topical anaesthesia. The probe contacts the cornea at controlled speed; the rebound profile is converted to a calibrated mmHg reading. No fluorescein, no proxymetacaine, no positioning the patient at a slit lamp — which makes the SW-500 the right tool for screening days, ward rounds, paediatric clinics and home visits where Goldmann tonometry isn't an option.
Key features
- No topical anaesthesia required — safe on paediatric patients and screening days
- Standing and lying posture support (vertical and horizontal modes)
- Wireless data print — no cable to manage in a moving exam
- No cross-infection risk between patients (single-use probe)
- Lightweight, handheld, fast to learn
