Clinical overview
Product overview
The OpticsMED HB-16 is a 16-step horizontal prism bar engineered to reach the larger horizontal deviations that exceed the range of a typical vertical bar. With values up to 45 Δ in a single bar, the strabismologist or orthoptist measures large-angle exotropias and esotropias without compounding two prisms — which eliminates the calibration drift that stacking introduces.
Key features
- 16 calibrated prism steps: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 Δ
- Horizontal axis — designed for esotropia/exotropia measurement
- Single-bar coverage up to 45 Δ avoids the prism-stacking error
- Etched values + slim profile match the VB-15 vertical bar
