Clinical overview

Product overview

The OpticsMED YZ20T9 is the ophthalmology-focused dual-binocular surgical microscope. The apochromatic and optical-balanced design strengthens the third-dimensional perception that intraocular surgery depends on, and the assistant's fine-focus knob (mounted under the assistant binocular) lets the fellow track depth independently from the consultant — essential during teaching cases where the consultant operates and the fellow observes for technique.

Key features

  • Dual binocular — main + assistant
  • Apochromatic optics with optical balance technology
  • Independent assistant fine focus (under the assistant binocular)
  • 5-step magnification (4×, 6×, 10×, 16×, 25×) on f=200 objective
  • Assistant magnification: 6×, 10×, 14×
  • 20° oblique illumination usable as slit (adjustable width)
  • 119 LP/mm maximum resolution
  • 12 V/100 W cold-reflection halogen, 50 000 Lx coaxial
  • X/Y 50 × 50 mm
  • Arm reach 1240 mm

Top-tier kit

This has quickly earned its place in our clinic — the components fit and function exactly as described. Support were responsive and helpful with a query. Solid purchase overall.

Superb value for money

We've been using this in our exam room for a few weeks now and it integrates neatly with the kit we already run. It's held up well to consistent daily use. Would order again without hesitation.

Well-made with minor niggles

Ordered this to replace an ageing unit and so far it integrates neatly with the kit we already run. The value at this price point is hard to beat. No complaints so far.
